Yard Art Tour (YAT)

During the Fringe Fest, take a minute and walk an extra block, turn a different corner, on your way from one venue to another venue, see another bit o’ art along your way. Ride your bike down to Bywater-Marigny in the afternoon before the Fringe shows start, drift around the neighborhood, check out a bit of fun, wacky, poignant, pointed yard art. A yard art tour that goes hand-in-hand with our scrappy little theater festival.

Application to register your yard art will be posted soon!

Yard Art, all over our neighborhoods. Out where you can see it, and where you can enjoy it. Have fun. It’s all over the place.

On the fence. In the courtyard. On an empty lot. Down at the corner. Up on a warehouse wall. Hanging on the front porch. Splashed across the front door. Situated on the stoop. And up on the roof.

And the yard art, it’s all kindsa stuff. It’s a simple hole at the bottom of a fence-board, re-envisioned as a tiny, off-beat front door for someone’s kittycat. It’s a towering, colorfully vibrant garden of 30-foot sculptures. It’s a cartoon bar-b-que and a rolling wagon wherein resides a wonderworld. It’s a garden of massive mosaics, and an ongoing cultural commentary.
