Fringe Fest, Mysterious Axeman's Jazz, darkly delightful documentary

The New Orleans Fringe Festival 2012's “Mysterious Axeman’s Jazz” is a darkly delightful documentary about a century-old unsolved Crescent City serial killing delivered by a cast of oversized dolls. This is a play designed to warm the hearts of my colleagues on the crime beat, as it uses quotes from Times-Picayune newspaper accounts as story-telling stepping stones.
