  • Description: The Vanities of the Poor is a musical allegory spectacular set in the Mississippi Delta in 1960. This rambling, outdoor performance takes a journey deep into the woods to tell the tragic tale of Death's only son. Expect shadow puppetry, doo wop harmonies, heart-breaking ballads and extravagant costumes set against the magic of the bayou at dusk.
